Eight styles, every one custom-made to your opening
All of them are built from SunShield vinyl that never needs painting and is warranted against rotting, cracking, pitting, corroding and peeling, with fully welded frames and sashes and triple-pane glass as an option on every style.
Casement
Hinged at the side, cranks open a full 90 degrees for the most ventilation of any style. Refrigerator-type bulb seal, single-point lock, great over counters and sinks.
Bay and bow
Three or more panels projecting out from the wall: a picture window in the centre, double hung or casement at the sides. Reinforced frame, foam-filled mullions, built to your dimensions.
Horizontal slider
Wider than tall, slides open for an unobstructed view and easy ventilation. Both sashes lift out from inside for cleaning; forced-entry-resistant lock.
Picture
Fixed glass with no moving parts, the most glass and the best thermal numbers of any style. Combines with every other type and with geometric shapes.
Garden
A small greenhouse that projects from the kitchen wall: glass on every side, tempered sloped top, glass shelves for herbs and plants, ships fully assembled.
Awning and hopper
Awning hinges at the top and can stay open in the rain; hopper hinges at the bottom for basements and bathrooms. Both crank or cam-lock, both solid vinyl.
Triple pane, on any of them
Every style above can be ordered with the triple-pane Fuel Saver glass package. On double hung and sliders it brings the whole-window U-factor to .20, or .16 with the Plus package.
Triple pane
Three panes of glass, and why it is our unfair advantage
Every window we sell has at least two panes with Low-E coating and argon gas between them: that sealed unit is the engine of the window. Triple pane adds a third sheet of glass, a second gas chamber and a second coated surface. The numbers below are from the manufacturer's whole-window NFRC tests, not centre-of-glass marketing figures.

What: how fast heat escapes through the whole window. Lower is better.
Ours: dual pane .26, triple pane .20, Triple Fuel Saver Plus .16. Up to 52% better than clear double pane and up to 54% better than the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient threshold.

The frames use over 20% more vinyl by weight than typical double-hung windows, with multiple internal chambers and rigid thermal reinforcement, and a narrow profile that gives up to 14% more glass and light.

01How do I know my windows need replacing?+
Drafts you can feel, condensation or fog between the panes, sashes that stick or will not stay up, rotting or soft frames, and rooms that are cold near the glass. Any one of these is worth a free inspection; two or more usually mean replacement pays for itself in comfort before it does on the bill.
02Is triple pane really worth it?+
From old or single-pane windows, the difference is dramatic: less heat loss, no drafts, dry sills and much less noise. From good modern double pane, the savings are incremental but the comfort, condensation resistance and quiet are still a real upgrade. Because of our buying power you are usually not paying extra for it, so the honest answer is yes.
03Which three numbers should I compare?+
U-factor (heat loss; lower is better), SHGC (solar heat gain; depends on the room) and air leakage (drafts; lower is better), always as whole-window NFRC ratings, never centre-of-glass. Compare those across any brand, Pella, Andersen, Marvin or ours, and the marketing words stop mattering.
04How long does installation take?+
A single window takes a few hours. A whole house is usually one to two days: one customer had 18 windows and a door done in two and a half. Each opening is finished and sealed the same day it is opened.
05Replacement window or new-construction window?+
Replacement windows fit into the existing frame without disturbing the wall, siding or interior trim, which is right for most homes. New-construction windows are used when the wall is being opened or re-sided anyway. We quote whichever the house needs, and we do both.
06What colours and styles can I choose?+
White, tan and clay interiors or wood-look laminates in Dark Oak, Winchester Light Oak and Cherry; unlimited exterior paint colours including a match to your trim; colonial, prairie, perimeter and diamond grids; and hardware in seven finishes. Every window is custom-made, so odd sizes and shapes are not a problem.
07What warranty do I get?+
Windows are warranted for up to 20 years: the manufacturer's warranty on the window, including the SunShield vinyl's warranty against rotting, cracking, pitting, corroding and peeling, plus our own labour warranty on the installation. See the contract for the details; both are written down before you sign.
08Do new windows add value to my home?+
Yes: curb appeal, lower energy use and a quieter, more comfortable house all show up in the appraisal and in the listing. Window replacement is consistently among the exterior projects with the best resale return.
