NJ CONTRACTOR RECOGNIZED FOR SELFLESS GIVING
Chuck Anania of Roof4Roof Presented NJ Assembly Resolution for Humanitarianism
On Tuesday, August 1, business owner Chuck Anania was presented with a New Jersey General Assembly resolution recognizing his selfless efforts to help the community. The resolution was sponsored by Assemblyman Gary Schaer and Assemblywoman Marlene Caride.
“Under the superb leadership of founder and President Chuck Anania, the leaders and staff of Roof4Roof have worked tirelessly and effectively in benefit of others” reads the resolution.
New Jersey general contractor, Roof4Roof uses proceeds from every completed project to help families in need. To date, Roof4Roof has helped more than 700 families in the US and abroad.
“One of life’s most basic needs is shelter. Keeping a safe, dry roof over your family’s heads has become increasingly difficult for many homeowners” says Anania about the families he seeks to help.
It all started in 2010 when Anania visited Cali, Colombia. He was deeply moved by the extreme poverty and terrible conditions he saw: collapsing, leaky roofs posed serious health, safety and quality of life issues to many, including children and the elderly.
Anania knew he had to help in some way. Drawing on his nearly 20 years of roofing experience, he figured out a way to help those unable to help themselves in a continuous, sustainable way. And from there Roof4Roof was born.
“It is altogether proper and fitting for this House to acknowledge Roof4Roof, and to praise it as a distinguished and upstanding member of the Garden States business community” the resolution continued.
Anania was presented with the award on August 1st during a blood drive that his company hosted in conjunction with New Jersey Blood Services. Roof4Roof hosted the drive in response to an emergency shortage in local blood supply.
“We appreciate the passion that Assemblyman Schaer and Assemblywoman Caride display in helping our community and are humbled by the recognition they have awarded us” says Anania. “We look forward to continuing to give back to the community.”
